What is VO2max anyway and why should I care?
People hear the term VO₂max all the time, but what does it actually mean?
Think of your body like a car. Your muscles are the engine, and oxygen is the fuel. VO₂max tells us how big that engine is—how much oxygen your body can use to produce energy during exercise.
The higher your VO₂max, the greater your endurance, the better your cardiovascular fitness, and—most importantly—the better your long-term health. In fact, VO₂max is one of the strongest predictors of longevity that we can measure.
At VO2theMaxx, we don’t just give you a number. We identify your personal training zones, explain exactly what the results mean, and give you a physician-developed plan to improve them.
